LEGOLand Florida

Cypress Gardens, Florida's oldest amusement park, is about to see a drastic change, even compared to the attractions that have been added to the park since 2004. Word has leaked that the park is going to be transformed into LEGOLand Florida by the park's new owner, Merlin Entertainment Group. Cypress Gardens will be transformed into the fifth LEGOLand park, and only the second in the United States (outside San Diego, California).

A press conference is scheduled for Thursday, January 21st at 10:30am. More details about the transition will be answered. A big question is what will come of the roller coasters that are still standing at the park, including the class Starliner? Also, will the historic garden sections of the park remain untouched or will they be incorporated into the new LEGO theme? Hopefully these questions will be answered tomorrow.

It is not a bad thing that the Florida parks have much higher safety standards. They set an example for the rest of the world. Besides, I don't know about you, but I like feeling safe on rides... Go to last post

Yeah I know, but I think, BGT adds their own safety guidelines on top of what the manufacturer requires, I don't think any PTC trains have this system or requirements Go to last post

BGT follows the manufacturer guidelines to the erase marks... (another reason gwazi, if it was not super rough like it is now, could never run backwards) Go to last post

BGT cares/over-exaggerates safety rules. A lot of times they just ruin the atmosphere or make for a long load in gwazi's case Go to last post

Maybe this question has already been answered, if so I apologize for being behind, but will these new trains have seatbelts? I'm not too familar with these "flyer" trains, but from what I understand... Go to last post

No where else loads a wooden coaster train of the same style so slow. Go to last post
