Like Tuesday, Thursday was another Extra Magic Hours opportunity at the Magic Kingdom with the park opening at 7 am. We once again woke up early, caught a bus, and were at the Magic Kingdom just before opening. The plan was to head straight to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but a slight snag with our cousins’ tickets delayed us. Once inside, we checked the app and saw that the ride was temporarily closed. When it reopened, the line was already 60 minutes.
So instead, we headed to Space Mountain. The girls rode while Jonathan and I hung out in Tomorrowland. They really enjoyed their ride and we were then off to Fantasyland to get Jonathan some rides in too. We rode Peter Pan’s Flight and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Once the rest of the park opened at 8 am, we headed towards Frontierland, hitting the Haunted Mansion on the way. In Frontierland, Rebecca and Jonathan waited while the girls and I hit Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain back to back. On the way back to Fantasyland, we stopped and rode the Pirates of the Caribbean.
In Fantasyland, Rebecca and Taylor took a spin on the Mad Tea Party. I’m glad she had a riding partner who enjoyed spinning too unlike me! Rebecca, Jonathan, and I then headed over and rode Dumbo. We also checked out the gift shop and Jonathan loved the Dumbo hat! Nearby, Jonathan also met Daisy and Minnie Mouse for the first time! He absolutely loved Minnie!
By now, we were quite hungry. The cousins’ wanted a turkey leg, so we asked a cast member and were told they can be bought in the Tortuga Tavern. They headed over there while Rebecca, Jonathan, and I headed over to Casey’s Corner for a foot long chili dog (we shared, not each!).
After lunch, we reconvened and left the ever growing crowds at the Magic Kingdom to use some Fast Passes at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here are some photos from the morning in the Magic Kingdom.
