    Clean up their act?

I went to SFoG about three years ago and found it pretty dirty and horrible food service. I'm still going to go next week, but wondering if the managers ever discovered the meaning of "customer service" and "park quality". Maybe I'm just spoiled by Busch parks.

I've always found it to be one of the better Six Flags parks. I just don't go into Six Flags parks expecting overall good service.

I was there April 2004 and the entire PARK was nasty/dirty/over run with rowdy teenagers. We were only there for the coasters anyway.

I don't know exactly what conditions you visited in, but it's actually not that dirty. I mean, if you go in expecting the same caliber of immaculate cleaning found at Universal or Disney parks, then you are going to be dissapointed. That's like going to your kid's art show and expecting the level of a Mondrian.

The park is actually kept as good if not better than the other 5 Six Flags parks that I've been too. You want a dump? Try AstroWorld, or MM in the summer. You want bad customer service? Try the aforementioned two parks, or even Darien Lake and NE. Sure, SFOG is my homepark, but I am speaking of truth and fairness in saying that it has decent customer service and is pretty clean/well-kept.

Hell, what does it matter anyway? Knoebels, a wildly popular park, is a s***hole. And parks like Cedar Point and Dorney Park are also very, very clean, but that doesn't mean that I love them (the KGB employees are the main reason). I don't bank on cleanliness, though it is a plus.

asd, I would reccommend SFOG or Six Flags Great Adventure, both of them are pretty good parks, and sneak into my Top five parks. Call me crazy, but I thought that as far as cleanliness and staff friendliness goes, SFOG and BGT are about on the same level, with neither one being extraordinary nor horrible.

    Re: Clean up their act?

The last time I went was in early May 2003 and they had tons of school buses and teenagers running around everywhere, so of course they trash the place.

Thank you Bob for your thoughts! I was ready after my last visit to never go back, but I wanted to give them one more shot. Thanks!

Any recommendations on what to do first? I plan to get to the park at 9am (open at 10am) and plan to stay all day. What's the best path to take?

Is it worth the money to buy a FastLane? It will be next Wednesday that i go.

The cleanest park in the world is also the best park in the world and that is Holiday World home of what will be the world's greatest ride when it debuts in 2006!!

I would definitely say Busch parks are above Six Flags for cleanliness, but friendliness is often a different story...unless you know a lot of employees, like me.
    I would if I could, but I can't so I won't.
