hey, I'm just happy they are testing one train to see how improved the experience may be... (and there have been plenty of other individuals who suggested the idea...)

    Of course.

Wish we could catch the train in action.

    Re: Gwazi

I've never seen Gwazi running without dueling, unless one side of the track was closed for the day. Each time I've been to BGT and both sides were open, they were dueling. Maybe I'm just lucky? I'd love to see faster load/unload times. Gwazi is SO slow because of the seatbelts and people like me who have a hard time getting into the seat and fighting the seatbelt. Gwazi wasn't made for larger guests or guests with wide hips.

No where else loads a wooden coaster train of the same style so slow.

Maybe this question has already been answered, if so I apologize for being behind, but will these new trains have seatbelts? I'm not too familar with these "flyer" trains, but from what I understand they'll help smooth Gwazi somewhat. And I also heard they may increase the speed of the coaster(s) too. Is that true?

BGT cares/over-exaggerates safety rules. A lot of times they just ruin the atmosphere or make for a long load in gwazi's case

BGT follows the manufacturer guidelines to the erase marks... (another reason gwazi, if it was not super rough like it is now, could never run backwards)

Yeah I know, but I think, BGT adds their own safety guidelines on top of what the manufacturer requires, I don't think any PTC trains have this system or requirements

It is not a bad thing that the Florida parks have much higher safety standards. They set an example for the rest of the world. Besides, I don't know about you, but I like feeling safe on rides (which is why I strongly dislike the fair).

Yes, I do get pretty annoyed when Universal randomly makes up new safety rules every year where I work, but I guess it is better than not caring. That is part of what separates us from Six Flags.

    Re: Gwazi

I don't know when the gwazi team added tightening the riders seat belt to the pre-dispatch list, but its pretty annoying. Last time I was there instead of just checking to see If it was clicked they pulled the loose end till it was pretty tight on me, I definitely had to loosen it as soon as the train left the station...

Just noticed, that the train in the pictures is in the actual ride path. Even though it is on the transfer, it is lined up with the regular track.

Gwazi Lion reopened today with both of its normal PTC trains running. Just like Tiger, a little bit of an improvement on the roughness. Seems like they did some work on dispatch timing and the lift hills, was dueling much better than I remember from last year.

Yeah, because most of them don't check to even make sure your seat belt is secured. Busch Gardens and Seaworld's safety standards set them apart from Six Flags in many different ways. Geeze, at least parks like Kings Dominion bother to check your restraint. Disney doesn't. That bothers me.

^^Disney operations bugs me too a lot. But at least is quick! Both Disney and BG are on extreme ends. BG goes to far to be too safe it ruins the experience and Disney just wants to be quick and out...No middle ground
