Thread: March Coaster Madness 2010 Intro

March Coaster Madness returns for 2010! After a hiatus in 2009, will 2008 champ Montu sucessfully defend his crown? This year we also see the inlusions of Manta and Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit. How will these new coasters fair? For those unclear what March Coaster Madness is, here's a quick rundown:

-A standard one-and-done tournament(winner advances, loser eliminated) pitting 16 of Florida's top coasters against one another, where the highest seed faces the lowest seed.

-Coasters are seeded through seniority, meaning the older coasters are ranked higher than the newer ones. When coasters opened on the same day(Example: Hulk & DD), then the coasters were ranked alphabetically. Next to each coaster in the rankings below is the opening date(based on RCDB) of each coaster, showing that all rankings were distibuted fairly.

-In the extreme circumstance that 2 coasters tie, the coaster with the highest seed will be awarded the victory, and advances to the next round.

-The 2nd and 3rd rounds are set up similar to the 1st, the highest ranked coaster that advances past the opening round, faces the lowest ranked coaster that advances.

-Everybody is allowed one vote per match-up.

-Each round of the tournament will last one week, with new round match-ups being posted every Wednesday(with the exception of the opening round, which is being posted today).
