Shooting High |
Doctor Doom's latest ploy to overtake the Fantastic Four includes
two towers that convert fear into power for his use. The two S&S Power
towers
blast riders one hundred-fifty feet into the air before launching them
right back down. The ride quickly switches from positive gravitational forces to
negative g's at the apex of the launch. Riders are left floating in midair
until the ride launches back up. After several smaller "bumps," the ride
vehicle slowly returns to the loading station.
The queue line to Doctor Doom, as with most of the park's attractions,
tells an interesting story. Videos, sound effects, and props tell the
story of Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four. Props include Doom's
personally created robots called Doom Bots.

When to Ride |
Each tower of Doctor Doom can hold sixteen passengers (four seats
on every side). The loading and launching process is a fairly long routine.
Early in the morning is the absolute best time to ride Fearfall because of
the shorter lines. As soon as Marvel fills, the ride will have wait times
in upwards of forty-five minutes. Be sure to check the wait time sign
located at the entrance of the ride. Ten to twenty minutes are the times
to look for. If you are a single rider, go through the single rider line
for a very short wait.
Universal Express
Doctor Doom's Fearfall is a Universal Express attraction. Guests
can use an Express pass on this attraction to bypass the line. |
